Volunteer!

Interested in getting involved with Gay Day Orlando and helping us welcome the World to Orlando? An exciting new addition for Gay Day in 2005 is the launch of our Gay Day Volunteer program. Everyone is invited to help us during the weekend in June and throughout the year in your hometown community. It is a great way to get involved in the magic of the weekend and meet new friends from around the World. Here are a few of our staffing needs and several new volunteer initiatives we would like to pursue this summer and in future years.

Gay Day Pixie Partners / City Reps

Gay Day city reps will help us reach out to gay and lesbian community centers, nightclubs and bars, and businesses all over the World. We will ship to you promotional materials including card flyers, posters, official programs, and giveaways.

Airport Greeters

Volunteer to assist us on Thursday and Friday at the airport in Orlando. Arriving guests often have questions regarding transportation to the hotels, tickets, and our schedule of events. Volunteers for this assignment should be familiar with Orlando and the airport.

Welcome Bag Stuffing Party

Each year on Tuesday prior to the event we stuff thousands of welcome bags for our guests. Let us know if you and your friends would be willing to join us for a few hours on Tuesday night at our Gay Day Central hotel.

Event Volunteer

Event volunteers might be asked to spend a few hours assisting us at the Gay Day World Welcome Center and Box Office; or at a specific partner event.
